Syfy Tea party @ Overflow

On a winter day when most Chicagoans were inside trying to escape the cold. A crowd of avid readers, authors, artist and aspiring novelists gathered at OverflowCoffee. Aside from the usual coffee patrons, were a new cast.

The air was filled with the aroma of fresh exotic tea. To the far end of the first wall was  the dress of the hostess for the event, Moulan Shakur, a character from the newly released e-book 2212: Book of Rayla.

The local coffee shop was the location of Chicago author Ytasha Womack’s, latest book (e-book) event. Womack told her audience  about her latest book, 2212: Book of Rayla, as well as what is to come.

Overflow was buzzing with high energy and  the atmosphere was infectious.

Midway into the event, Womack began a reading from her new book, which was followed by the trivia question for the day. The contest involved the audience using their smart phones  and calling upon there e-book knowledge to come up with the correct answer.

Afterwards Womack took out time to meet with her guests and take photos.
